Community projects

We can support community archives in a number of ways and are always pleased to hear from any community group interested in starting or developing an existing community archive or history project.

We can:

  • Provide advice about the best way to look after your collections
  • Provide packaging materials to help to preserve the items you've collected
  • Provide advice about digitising your collections
  • Support external funding bids you are writing

In the past, we have supported Cheshire, Halton and Warrington Race and Equality Centre on their Journeys to Cheshire project, the Cheshire Federation of Womens Institutes with their Year of Archives programme and the Chester Mystery Plays Group to celebrate and record the history of the Mystery Plays.

We have worked with the Anfield Bicycle Club to support their project to digitise, preserve and catalogue their archives.

We are supporting the Cheshire Roll of Honour project as part of the Cheshire East Reflects programme
